Goalito

Why Goalito looks this way

Sign in to Goalito

Goalito is built by one person, at Robertson Software LLC, an independent software company based in San Diego, California. There is no team to split the decisions below across, so every one of them is a single, accountable choice.

Why one plan, with no tiers

Goalito has a single all-in plan: every feature, on web, iOS, and Android. No ads, no trackers, no credits, and no paid upgrade that unlocks a feature a subscriber already paid for. You own your data: export it anytime, and delete your account and your data is gone. A tiered product spends its design effort deciding what to withhold; this one spends it on the plan, do, and review loop instead.

Why people count as goals

A goal system that only tracks tasks and habits leaves out the relationships a full life actually runs on. Goalito plans and notes connections and gentle reach-outs the same way it plans a hardest task: your inner, close, and wider circles get their own natural cadence, one-tap gestures, connections, and gratitude, and conversation prompts for dates and deeper questions. Relationships matter enough to plan for, not just remember.

Why there is no XP

With one plan and no tiers, gamification has nothing to sell, so it never becomes a revenue lever. There are no paid streak repairs and no premium celebrations - the game elements that do exist (sounds, charts that sing, a visible streak) are there because they make the real behavior more satisfying to do, not because they unlock at a higher price.

The craft

Every sound in Goalito, 52 of them, is synthesized from oscillators - there are no sample files. The brand tartan is an owned asset with its own public generator. The app ships in 34 locales. Lifecycle emails are signed by Dave, with a real reply-to address: I read every reply. The research page shows the published studies and books behind every rule in the app, cited by name.
